After departing Lake Partners in 2006, Ann served as the Special Projects & Outreach Coordinator for the Harold Ford Jr. for U.S. Senate campaign in Tennessee. She then returned to Seattle to start her own consulting practice, which was later merged into the Global Philanthropy Group. As a Partner and co-Founder at GPG, Ann worked with high net worth individuals, charitable foundations and corporations to design and implement highly-leveraged philanthropic strategies to address a wide range of pressing global issues. Now, as the President for the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, she uses that knowledge and expertise to address hunger and food insecurity through agricultural development to improve the standard of living and quality of life for vulnerable populations across the globe.

Ann was a Partner with Lake Partners Strategy Consultants from 2000-2006. She managed client engagements across a range of industries and developed expertise analyzing public policy initiatives and their impact on private sector investments.

Prior to joining Lake Partners, Ann provided strategic consulting services in Washington, D.C. as a consultant for both Dean & Company and Strategic Planning Associates (now Oliver Wyman). She worked in the Corporate Development groups at Artisan Entertainment (now part of Lions Gate) in Los Angeles and MCI (now part of Verizon) in Washington D.C. She graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University and received her MBA with distinction from the Harvard Business School.

Outside of work, Ann serves on the alumni board of the Harvard Business School. She is also a trustee of the Seattle Repertory Theatre.
